A lady came to see me last October (someone else had done her tax return).The W-2 info reported on her tax return didn’t match what was reported to the IRS by her multiple employers. She was still fighting to get her refund since last April. I got it fixed. Just a big hassle that could have been avoided by a semi awkward phone call to a previous employer- last spring! And you can’t always trust ‘last pay stubs’ (don’t get me started on payroll accounting errors). If you need us to make that phone call for you, just ask.
